The focus of this workshop, which will be held alongside ACM RecSys 2024, is to address the unique challenges faced by recommender systems in the tourism domain. Planning a vacation typically involves searching for a variety of interconnected products, such as transportation, lodging, and attractions, which have limited availability and are affected by contextual factors like time, location, and weather. RecTour 2024 seeks to attract innovative ideas that can advance the state of the art in tourism recommenders. The workshop will cover various topics, including specific applications and case studies for evaluation, techniques and methods, context and mobility, the cold-start problem, preference elicitation, and emotions and recommenders. The organizers are inviting researchers and practitioners from diverse fields to submit research papers, position papers, project proposals, and demo systems.
ACM RecSys 2024 and its related workshops will take place in Bari, Italy, from October 14th to October 18th, 2024. RecTour 2024 will be a full-day event held on October 18th, 2024.
